Authorities are investigating an incident involving a passenger on a Mash Poa bus who was reportedly drugged and robbed during a recent journey. The passenger, who is identified as Adelle Omondi, found herself at Coast General hospital without undergarments, personal belongings including electronic devices and cash lost. In her statement on facebook she said ‘I need an explanation of how i woke up in hospital without underwear and yet i had on when i boarded that bus…’
This case bears similarities to previous incidents where passengers were drugged and robbed on public transport. In one such case, four suspects were arrested after passengers on a bus reported feeling drowsy and discovering their valuables missing. The suspects had allegedly ingested the same substance to destroy evidence, leading to their hospitalization and subsequent arrest .
Mash Poa Bus Company and the police has yet to release an official statement regarding the recent incident. However, Adelle’s story has become a rallying cry for improved safety measures, with advocates urging transport companies to implement stricter oversight and emergency protocols to protect passengers
